My language course in Cambridge

Introduction

The aim of this report is to highlight the benefits of the two-week English course in Cambridge, England, that I attended last August.

The accommodation

All the students stayed at the same dorm in shared rooms with an en-suite bathroom. Although the rooms were simple, there was enough space for all four of us. In addition, they were neat and tidy.

The course

My teachers were all British and we were encouraged to speak all the time. Consequently, my English has improved a lot. At the end of the course we were tested and awarded certificates.

After-school activities

We were offered a range of free-time activities on campus. You could join a drama club or a school band. There was a sports hall, an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court, where we spent a lot of free time. A day trip to London was my favourite activity.

Conclusion

Being able to study English in Britain was a great privilege for me. It would be great if everyone got an opportunity to try it.
