Report: A three-week study and work programme in an English-speaking country (Rešitve)
Primer:
INTRODUCTION
The aim of this report is to highlight the benefits of a three-week work and study programme in Cardiff, which was organised by local university and business partners.
ENGLISH COURSES
First and foremost, I find an opportunity to be able to study English in an English-speaking country a privilege by itself. Furthermore, the lecturers and other staff were efficient and the school facilities were well-equipped with computers and multimedia. An additional benefit was that feedback was provided regularly, and therefore the progress was noticeable.
WORK PROGRAMME
Since my language classes ended at 1 p. m., the afternoon was dedicated to working at the local restaurant. I was given the responsibility to serve foreign tourists, and thus got to practice not only my English, but also interpersonal and other skills. Although the working time was quite long, the experience was enjoyable.
COURSES AND WORK COMBINED
The schedule was quite demanding. As a result, my days were quite long. However, considering that it was merely a three-week programme, the lack of free time was not an issue. In the end, the work-school balance proved to be perfect.
CONCLUSION
On the whole, the programme has completely fulfilled my expectations. Consequently, I would not propose any changes and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is eager to learn and gain experience abroad.
